Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of Tellivro, including the Tellivro mobile application, website and related services (“Tellivro”).
Tellivro is operated by The Wonder Collective Limited, a company registered in New Zealand (“The Wonder Collective”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By creating a Tellivro account or using Tellivro, you agree to these Terms.
If you create or manage an account that includes profiles for children, you also agree to these Terms in relation to your administration of those profiles.
1. About Tellivro
Tellivro is a family money-tracking service designed to help individuals and families understand what their money is for.
Tellivro may allow users to:
- record money they have or hold on behalf of another family member;
- see money that is available;
- set money aside for particular purposes;
- create and manage plans;
- record earnings and spending;
- record purchases;
- view transaction and activity history;
- manage separate family money profiles; and
- use other money-tracking and family features that we make available.
Tellivro is intended to provide a simple record-keeping and money-management tool.
2. Tellivro does not hold your money
Tellivro does not hold, receive, safeguard, transfer or control the money represented within the app.
Amounts shown in Tellivro are records based on information entered into the service by users.
For example, if a parent records that they are holding $50 for a child, Tellivro records that information. The actual $50 remains wherever the parent or family keeps it.
A Tellivro balance is therefore not a bank account balance or confirmation that the corresponding funds actually exist.
Tellivro is not a bank, financial institution, payment service or digital wallet.
3. No financial advice
Tellivro provides tools for recording and organising money information.
It does not provide financial, investment, banking, tax, accounting or legal advice.
Information displayed by Tellivro should not be treated as professional financial advice or as a recommendation to make a particular financial decision.
Users remain responsible for their own financial decisions.
4. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your Tellivro account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any login credentials or devices used to access it.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
You must not knowingly allow another person to use your credentials in a way that compromises the security or privacy of Tellivro or another user's information.
5. Family accounts and child profiles
Tellivro allows a parent, guardian or other responsible adult to create or manage money profiles for children.
The adult who creates or manages the family account is responsible for administering child profiles and for determining whether and how a child uses Tellivro.
A child profile is not intended to create a separate contractual relationship between The Wonder Collective Limited and a young child.
Where a child uses Tellivro through a parent-managed family account, the responsible adult remains responsible for:
- creating and administering the child's profile;
- providing appropriate permissions;
- determining what information is entered about the child;
- supervising the child's use of Tellivro where appropriate; and
- ensuring they have authority to provide information relating to the child.
New Zealand law contains specific protections concerning contracts involving minors. Legislation New Zealand
6. Separate money profiles
Tellivro is designed so that family members can have separate money profiles.
A profile represents the money records associated with that individual. It does not create ownership of, custody over or legal entitlement to actual funds.
Where one person physically holds money on behalf of another family member, the people involved remain responsible for their own arrangements regarding that money.
Tellivro simply records the information entered into the service.
7. Transactions, balances and records
Tellivro calculates balances from information recorded through the service.
Users are responsible for ensuring that information they enter is accurate.
Although we take reasonable steps to maintain the integrity of Tellivro's systems, you should review important records and notify us if you believe Tellivro is displaying information incorrectly.
Tellivro should not be used as the sole official record where independent financial, accounting, tax or legal records are required.
8. Purchase requests and approvals
Tellivro may allow a child or other family member to submit a purchase request for approval by an authorised adult.
A purchase request within Tellivro does not itself purchase an item, transfer money or create a transaction with a merchant.
The responsible adult remains responsible for deciding whether to approve the request and for making any real-world payment or purchase.
9. Acceptable use
You must use Tellivro lawfully and responsibly.
You must not:
- use Tellivro for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purposes;
- attempt to access another person's account or private information without permission;
- interfere with or disrupt Tellivro or its systems;
- attempt to bypass security or access controls;
- introduce malicious software or harmful code;
- scrape, copy or extract Tellivro data through unauthorised automated means;
- reverse engineer Tellivro except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- impersonate another person;
- provide information that you do not have authority to provide; or
- use Tellivro in a way that infringes another person's rights.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect Tellivro, its users or our systems.
10. Content you provide
Tellivro may allow you to provide information, names, profile details, images, plan information and other content.
You retain ownership of content that belongs to you.
You give us permission to store, process, display and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide Tellivro.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide content uploaded to Tellivro.
11. Privacy
Our collection and handling of personal information is described in the Tellivro Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms an important part of how Tellivro operates and should be read alongside these Terms.
Where Tellivro contains information relating to children, we take the privacy of that information seriously and design access around authorised family relationships.
12. Availability and changes to Tellivro
We aim to provide a reliable service, but Tellivro may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical problems, third-party service interruptions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may update, improve, modify or discontinue features of Tellivro from time to time.
Where a change would materially affect users, we will take reasonable steps to communicate it where appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Tellivro account.
Where available, deletion may be initiated through Tellivro itself.
You may also request deletion through:
or contact us at:
tellivro@the-wonder-collective.co.nz
We may need to verify that you are authorised to delete an account before completing a deletion request.
Deleting an account may permanently remove associated profiles, money records, plans, transactions and other account information.
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, or establish or defend legal claims.
More information about deletion and retention is provided in our Privacy Policy.
14. Intellectual property
Tellivro, including its software, branding, design, interface, text, graphics and other material created by or for The Wonder Collective Limited, is owned by or licensed to The Wonder Collective Limited and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms give you permission to use Tellivro for its intended personal or family purposes.
They do not transfer ownership of Tellivro or its intellectual property to you.
You may not copy, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit Tellivro or its proprietary content except with our permission or where applicable law permits it.
15. Third-party services
Tellivro may rely on third-party technology and infrastructure to provide functions such as hosting, authentication, storage, notifications and other technical services.
Those services may occasionally affect the availability or operation of Tellivro.
Where third parties process personal information on our behalf, our handling of that information is addressed in our Privacy Policy.
16. New Zealand consumer rights
If you use Tellivro as a consumer in New Zealand, you may have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 and other applicable laws.
For example, New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act provides guarantees in relation to consumer services, including that services are carried out with reasonable care and skill and are fit for their particular purpose in applicable circumstances. Consumer Protection
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
In particular, these Terms are not intended to contract out of the Consumer Guarantees Act in circumstances where doing so is not permitted. The Act generally prevents contracting out for consumer transactions, subject to specified rules for qualifying business-to-business arrangements. Legislation New Zealand
17. Our responsibility
We are responsible for providing Tellivro in accordance with applicable law, including any consumer guarantees that apply.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from:
- inaccurate information entered by a user;
- a person failing to maintain the real-world money represented by a Tellivro record;
- financial decisions made by a user;
- unauthorised access caused by a user's failure to protect their credentials or device;
- use of Tellivro for a purpose for which it was not designed; or
- events outside our reasonable control.
Tellivro is a record-keeping tool. We do not guarantee that amounts entered into Tellivro correspond to money actually held by a parent, child or other person.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, nothing in this section limits that liability.
New Zealand consumer services are subject to statutory guarantees, and remedies may be available where those guarantees are not met. Consumer Protection
18. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Tellivro at any time.
We may suspend or restrict access to Tellivro where reasonably necessary because of:
- serious or repeated breaches of these Terms;
- suspected fraud or unlawful activity;
- security risks;
- attempts to compromise Tellivro or other accounts; or
- legal or regulatory requirements.
Where reasonable and appropriate, we will attempt to provide notice before taking action.
Termination or suspension does not remove rights or obligations that arose before termination.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Tellivro changes or where changes are necessary for legal, regulatory, security or operational reasons.
If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users.
The current version of these Terms will be available on the Tellivro website, and the “Last updated” date will identify when they were most recently revised.
Continued use of Tellivro after updated Terms take effect may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Any dispute relating to these Terms or Tellivro will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction or provides other rights that cannot be excluded.
