Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Tellivro is operated by The Wonder Collective Limited, New Zealand.

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and handled when you use Tellivro.

Tellivro is designed to help individuals and families keep track of money, including money that is available and money that has been set aside for particular purposes.

Information we collect

When you create or use a Tellivro account, we may collect information necessary to provide the service.

Depending on how you use Tellivro, this may include:

Account information

Such as your name, email address and information required to authenticate and manage your account.

Family and profile information

Such as names or display names associated with money profiles you create or manage, profile images where provided, family relationships and permissions required to operate family features.

Money-tracking information

Information you choose to enter into Tellivro, such as balances, amounts, transactions, purchases, money sources, plans and amounts set aside.

Tellivro uses this information to maintain the money records and balances you choose to track.

Tellivro is not a bank and does not hold, receive or transfer the money represented by these records.

Images and profile content

If you choose to upload a profile image, plan image or other image to Tellivro, we may store the image you provide.

Purchase requests and family activity

Where Tellivro provides family features, we may process information required to send, approve, decline and record requests between authorised family profiles.

Technical information

We may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure and maintain Tellivro, such as device, application, authentication, network, error or diagnostic information.

How we use information

We use information collected through Tellivro to:

  • provide and operate the Tellivro service;
  • create and manage accounts and family profiles;
  • authenticate users and authorised devices;
  • synchronise authorised information between devices;
  • calculate and display balances;
  • record transactions and money movements;
  • manage plans and amounts set aside;
  • process family purchase requests;
  • maintain the security and integrity of the service;
  • provide customer support;
  • diagnose technical problems; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use Tellivro to provide financial, investment, tax, legal or banking advice.

Children and family profiles

Tellivro is designed so that a parent, guardian or other responsible adult can create and manage money profiles for children.

When an adult creates or manages a child profile, they may provide personal information about the child, such as the child's name or display name, profile image, money balances, plans, transactions and activity.

The adult creating or managing the profile is responsible for having appropriate authority to provide that information.

Child profiles are kept separate from other family members' money profiles. Tellivro is designed so that family members do not automatically receive access to another person's private money information.

Parents or authorised adults may have additional permissions needed to manage a child's money records, approve transactions or administer the family account.

We take particular care with personal information relating to children and only collect and use that information as reasonably necessary to provide Tellivro and its family features.

Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information.

We do not provide children's money information to advertisers for targeted advertising.

We may use trusted service providers to operate Tellivro, such as providers of:

  • application and cloud hosting;
  • database storage;
  • authentication;
  • file and image storage;
  • email delivery;
  • push notifications;
  • security;
  • diagnostics and error reporting; and
  • other technical infrastructure required to operate the service.

These providers may process information only as reasonably necessary to provide their services to Tellivro.

Some service providers may process or store information outside New Zealand. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take appropriate steps to comply with applicable New Zealand privacy requirements.

We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights or integrity of Tellivro, its users or The Wonder Collective Limited.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These measures may include appropriate access controls, authentication protections and encryption of information transmitted between Tellivro and its servers.

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Tellivro, maintain appropriate records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the security and integrity of the service.

While an account remains active, this may include information necessary to maintain profiles, balances, plans and transaction history.

When an account is deleted, associated personal information will be deleted or de-identified unless particular information needs to be retained for a legitimate or legal reason.

Where information must be retained, we will limit its use and retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose.

Some deleted information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are replaced or deleted through our normal backup processes.

Account and data deletion

You may request deletion of your Tellivro account and associated data.

Account deletion can be initiated through Tellivro where that functionality is available or through:

tellivro.com/delete-account

You can also contact:

tellivro@the-wonder-collective.co.nz

We may need to verify that you are authorised to delete the account before completing the request.

Deleting an account is different from signing out or removing Tellivro from a device.

Deleting a family account may also remove associated child profiles, money records, plans, transactions, purchase requests and other information connected with that account.

Where appropriate, Tellivro will explain the effect of deletion before the request is confirmed.

Account deletion removes associated personal information except information that must legitimately or legally be retained.

Child profile deletion

A parent, guardian or other authorised adult may remove or request deletion of a child profile they manage.

Deleting a child profile may remove information associated with that profile, including profile details, balances, plans, transaction information, purchase requests and uploaded content.

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary or required by law, as described in the Data retention section above.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information.

Under New Zealand privacy law, this includes rights to request access to personal information we hold about you and to request correction of that information.

You may also contact us about deletion of your information or with questions about how your information is handled.

We may need to verify your identity or authority before responding to a privacy request.

Notifications

Tellivro may send service-related notifications where necessary to provide family features, such as purchase requests or important account activity.

You can generally manage device notification permissions through your device settings.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Tellivro, our technology, our service providers or applicable legal requirements change.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.

If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users where appropriate.
